A Quality Product

The ACET Department in Oceaneering Aberdeen have achieved re-certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 TickIT for the "Development, Implementation and Support of the ACET Suite of Products and Supporting Software for the Management of Corrosion and Inspection in Various Industries Worldwide".

This was the departments fifth audit without incidence of non-conformance since achieving the original certification in June 2002 - a true reflection of the dedication and effort of the team, led by Nigel Smith.

The certification to ISO 9001:2000 TickIT was instrumental in securing a significant contract to provide ACET for 11 Petrobras refineries in Brazil. This award is in addition to the recent contracts for Marathon in Equatorial Guinea, AIOC in Azerbaijan and Conoco Phillips in China.

The ACET department have worked closely with Petrobras engineers to provide a solution capable of meeting Brazilian legislation as well as providing the system in Portuguese. Petrobras have already had meetings with key ACET personnel regarding expanding the use of the system within Brazil for the upstream assets.
