| In ACET
equipment inspection can be carried out using the ACET generated work scopes
(in the form of a work pack). The wall thickness data and information gathered
using ultrasonic inspection can be electronically transferred to and from
the inspection equipment via the gauge interface module. This can increase
the reliability of measured data. Once downloaded all wall thickness data
is automatically trended within ACET to give historic and current corrosion
rates along with predicted retiral dates.
The Gauge Interface module tracks all work packs exported and imported. The user can therefore see at a glance which jobs are still ongoing and have yet to be imported back into ACET. The transfer of the inspection work scope to the equipment (gauges) can be done through e-mail. This is particularly useful when receiving completed jobs from remote and offshore locations at the end of a shift. The results are then immediately available for reporting to management via ACET's comprehensive reporting capabilities. |
