The Oceaneering Lifting Equipment Engineering Database (LEED) is used in support of LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) which sets out a series of regulations for Lifting Equipment.
Regulation 2 defines Lifting Equipment as "Work Equipment" for lifting or lowering loads and includes its attachments used for anchoring, fixing or supporting it. It includes any lifting accessories that attach the load to the machine in addition to the equipment which carries out the actual lift.

LEED stores information and data associated with the history of inspection and thorough examination, competent persons, definitions, equipment strength and capability, material and component load and forces, safe working loads (WLL), defects, repairs and de-rating of the equipment.

In addition to the above LEED has a variety of reports which conform to schedule 1 of LOLER including - Report of a Thorough Examination of Lifting Equipment.
