ACET Version 5.2 is released 

ACET Version 5.2 is released. This version includes updates to the Design Codes, Multimedia, Work Pack editor and details screen, the Inspector Excel Interface, the Gauge Interface, the Exception Module, Report Module templates and Data Import Module. Version 3.1 of the "ACET User Guide" in support of ACET version 5.2, is also released and is available from the ACET Help Menu and from the Help Desk Menu.

ACET in Canada

Single Buoy Moorings Inc (SBM) have extended their ACET license to include the Deep Panuke, MOPU (Mobile Offshore Production Unit) Platform. The main facilities, will be located approximately 250 km southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada approximately 47 km west of Sable Island and in approximately 44 metres water depth.
 

ACET in Angola

BP Angola have extended their ACET site license to include the PSVM (Plutão, Saturno, Vênus and Marte) Development in Block 31 offshore Angola. The FPSO will have production capacity of 157,000 barrels per day and first oil from the development is scheduled in 2011.
 

ACET in Brazil

Petrobras in Brazil have extended their ACET site license to include upstream assets with the addition of UN-AM and UN-RIO. UN-RIO includes new fields under development such as the Albacora Leste, Roncador, Marlim Sul and Marlim Leste fields. With Albacora and other new fields, UN-Rio is expected to produce 1.1-1.2Mb/d in 2010, or 52% of Petrobras' total production target.
 

ACET in Vietnam

Vietnams four lions get a taste for ACET. CLJOC comprising PetroVietnam, ConocoPhillips, KNOC, SK Corporation and Geopetrol has purchased an ACET License for use on its four major discoveries located in block 15.1: First is Su Tu Den (Black Lion) Oil Field discovered in August 2001, second is Su Tu Vang (Golden Lion) Oil Field discovered in October 2001, third is Su Tu Trang (White Lion) Gas-Condensate Field discovered in November 2003 and fourth is Su Tu Nau (Brown Lion) Oil Field discovered in August 2005.

The ACET Department retain a 100% record and pass their BVQI annual surveillance (BS EN ISO 9001:2008 & TickIT) Audit with no incidents of non-conformance for the eighth year in succession.

ACET User Guide

The ACET User Guide has been converted into an Online User Guide. This has resulted in quicker access and easier navigation. In addition the new Online format is Indexed, providing an alternate search option. Revision 3.0 of the Online User Guide will shortly become available from the ACET System Help Menu and the Help Desk Ticketing System.

ACET in Oman

BP Oman with offices in Muscat has purchased an ACET License for use on its facilities located in Block 61 and the Khazzan and Makarem gas fields of central Oman.

ACET User Guide

The ACET User Guide has been updated to include the latest version of the Monitoring Module and the Integrated Planning (IPM) Module. This completes the enhancements to the user guide for version 5.1 of ACET.

User Guide revision 2.2 for ACET version 5.1 is now available for use and can be viewed from the ACET system Help menu or downloaded from the ACET Helpdesk: http://acethelp.oceaneering.com
 

ACET in the North Sea

The BG-Group has purchased an ACET License for the use on the Everest and Lomond assets, which are both situated in the central North Sea. First production began in 1993, with an average production rate of 91 mmscfd and 2,783 bopd on the Everest and an average production rate of 92 mmscfd and 1,702 bopd on the Lomond being achieved in 2008. In addition, production from the Erskine field is processed on the Lomond facility. Gas is exported via the CATS pipeline and produced liquids go via Forties to Kinneil.

ACET in Monaco

Single Buoy Moorings Inc (SBM), with its operating offices in Monaco has purchased an ACET License for its global fleet of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. SBM Offshore has a cumulative vessel operating experience of more than 160 years, during which in excess of 2,400,000,000 barrels of oil were exported.

ACET in Syria

Petro-Canada in Syria has purchased an ACET License for use on the Ebla gas project. When completed, the Ebla gas plant is expected to deliver 80 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) of natural gas to domestic markets, with first gas anticipated in 2010.

ACET in the North Sea

The Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), based in Aberdeen has purchased an ACET License for the management of inspection and corrosion on the Cormorant Alpha, North Cormorant, Tern and Eider assets in the UK North Sea.

The ACET Department in Oceaneering Aberdeen have achieved re-certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 TickIT for the "Development, Implementation and Support of the ACET Suite of Products and Supporting Software for the Management of Corrosion and Inspection in Various Industries Worldwide".

Rio Oil and Gas Expro 2002

Realising the potential for ACET in South America Tucano Brazil International invited the ACET team to attend the Rio Oil and Gas Expro 2002 which ran from 2nd to 5th of September.

ACET Achieves Accreditation

The ACET team are pleased to announce that we have achieved accreditation to BS/EN/ISO 9001:2000 for “The development, implementation and support of ACET (Asset Condition Evaluation Tool) and supporting software for the management of corrosion and inspection in various industries worldwide”.

ACET in the Danish North Sea

In the first quarter of 2002 Maersk Olie og Gas purchased ACET to assist with the control and management of their corrosion and inspection activities in the Danish North Sea. The ACET team have now successfully implemented the system into the Maersk Esbjerg office where the database has already been used to run a corrosion risk assessment for one of the main Maersk assets.

Chevron Alba Implement ACET  
.In the second quarter of 2002 Chevron purchased ACET to assist with the control and management of their corrosion and inspection activities on the Alba platform in the North Sea. The ACET team are now in the process of implementing the system into this project.

ACET V2.6 Freeze

The ACET support and development team are delighted to announce the completion of ACET version 2.6. All system documentation has been updated in support of this release.

 

ACET Web Enabled

In 2001 the ACET development team web enabled ACET. Users and clients can now access their databases through the Internet from anywhere…..worldwide.

ACET Training Facility  
The ACET team have a new dedicated in-house training facility, which has been designed to accommodate additional trainees on any one of the various training courses being offered.

ACET User Group Sessions

ACET user group sessions and feedback have been instrumental in helping achieve ACET V2.6 release. User group sessions will continue with all new development upgrades.
